ABOUT IAN
I am a filmmaker, artist and teacher who has always been interested in sport, movement and massage. I am qualified in traditional Swedish massage and Ka Huna bodywork and share these skills at my Clovelly studio.
I enjoy creating a space for you to relax and immerse yourself in the experience of your massage. It is in this process of giving and seeing clients leave rejuvenated and relaxed that I find the greatest reward.
MASSAGE + BODYWORK
Swedish Relaxation or Remedial Massage / 1hr $120 / 90 mins $170
A soothing relaxation or healing remedial massage using the 3 levels of Swedish technique (Effleurage, Petrissage and Frictions) to treat problem areas, or to relax and calm the body. Remedial work includes trigger point and deep tissue techniques to treat specific muscular issues or the recovery from sports injuries. The massage uses warm oil and is delivered with the hands to parts of the body in sequence, while you are modestly draped in warm towels.

Hawaiian Ka Huna Massage / 1hr $120 / 90 mins $170
Invigorating warm oil massage delivered in long sweeping strokes using the forearms over the whole body. The bodyworker moves around the table in flowing dance-like movements to stimulate the flow of energy and synchronise breath and heartbeat. This massage balances energy and flow throughout the body. Modestly draped using a sarong or towels.
Level 2 in Ka Huna Bodywork
Back & Relax / 30 mins $60
If time and money are tight, why not try this back of the body massage that can be customised to your specific needs. The massage can include the back, shoulders, neck, glutes and/or the back of legs. Uses a combination of Swedish and Hawaiian techniques.
Mobile Massage (Eastern Suburbs and City only) / 1hr $150 / 90 mins $200
If you would prefer a massage in your own home and you live in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, I can arrange to come to you with my portable table, oils and towels.
